Dino Toys publishes buying guides, product reviews, and educational articles about dinosaurs. This page sets out the editorial standards we hold ourselves to on every piece we publish.
Accuracy
We cross-reference factual claims against primary sources before publishing. For paleontological content — species descriptions, diet, size estimates, geological period — we rely on peer-reviewed literature, established institutions (natural history museums, university paleontology departments), and authoritative encyclopedic sources. When a topic is scientifically contested (for example, whether certain theropods had feathers, or the exact swimming behavior of Spinosaurus), we present the debate rather than picking one side as settled fact.
Originality
Every article on this site is written by our editorial team. We do not publish AI-generated filler, spun content, or paraphrased copies of competitor articles. Every buying guide reflects actual research into the products and category involved.
Updates and Freshness
Buying guides are reviewed at least once a year. When information changes — a product is discontinued, a new release appears, a price tier shifts — we update the relevant guide rather than leaving stale content. The year in the title of our guides reflects the most recent substantive review.
Source Transparency
When we cite facts, studies, or manufacturer claims, we link to the source where reasonable. For Amazon product links we use our affiliate program; see our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
Independence
We write for readers, not manufacturers. Our rankings are based on product merits, not on commission rates or sponsorship. We are not paid by any toy brand to cover or favor their products. No manufacturer sees our content before it is published.
Corrections Policy
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Typos and minor clarifications are updated silently. Material corrections — errors of fact, wrong product recommendations, outdated safety information — are updated, and a brief correction note is added to the affected article. Readers are invited to flag errors via our Contact page.
User Safety
Many of our readers are parents buying for young children. Where a product has a documented safety concern (small-part warnings, age thresholds, battery hazards, tip-over risks on ride-on toys), we call it out clearly in the guide. We follow the age recommendations given by manufacturers and applicable toy safety standards (ASTM F963 in the US, EN 71 in Europe).
Comments and Community
We welcome reader feedback, product suggestions, and corrections. We do not publish reader comments containing spam, harassment, or commercial solicitation.
