The Best Velociraptor Toys of 2026

The velociraptor is the second-most-wanted dinosaur in any toy box after the T-Rex, thanks to the Jurassic Park velociraptor toys that started it all and Jurassic World’s Blue. The market has one quirk worth flagging up front: the standard Mattel Blue figure is heavily resold at 2-4× MSRP, so we don’t recommend it. Below are six velociraptor toys actually in stock at honest prices — a scientifically accurate Schleich, the only toy velociraptor Blue worth buying right now, a full-size Mattel JW raptor, a Papo collector, an RC, and a budget. (For more, see our best dinosaur figures, best T-Rex toys and best Indominus Rex toys guides.)

1
Schleich Velociraptor realistic feathered dinosaur figure with movable jaw
Best overall

Schleich Velociraptor (Feathered, Movable Jaw)

★★★★½ 4.6 / 5 · 3,086 reviews · ~$15

The Schleich is the best velociraptor toy for most people — a hand-painted velociraptor figure with feathers (real velociraptors really were feathered), a movable jaw and articulated arms, backed by more than three thousand reviews at 4.6 stars. Under fifteen dollars makes it the easy default velociraptor dinosaur toy for play, collecting or the classroom, and the obvious first pick for a serious dinosaur fan.

  • Scientifically accurate (feathered)
  • Movable jaw + articulated arms
  • 3,000+ reviews at 4.6 stars
  • Modest size (~5″)
2
Mattel Jurassic World Bite Club Velociraptor Blue chibi action figure
Best Blue

Mattel Jurassic World Bite Club Velociraptor “Blue”

★★★★★ 4.8 / 5 · 290 reviews · ~$10

If you want the famous Blue at a fair price, this is currently the only honest option — the Mattel Bite Club Blue, a chibi-stylised “chunky” Blue figure at MSRP. Important caveat: this is Mattel’s cute Bite Club series, not the realistic action-figure Blue that fans usually picture. The standard Blue is gouged at $60-90 by resellers (see FAQ), and we won’t recommend it at that markup. At 4.8 stars across 290 reviews, the Bite Club is a charming Blue velociraptor toy for what it is — a desk-friendly collectible.

  • Only Mattel Blue at MSRP right now
  • 4.8 stars across 290 reviews
  • Official Jurassic World licence
  • Chibi/chunky style — not movie-realistic; only ~4″
3
Mattel Jurassic World Fierce Force Velociraptor Camp Cretaceous action figure
Best Mattel JW raptor

Mattel JW Fierce Force Velociraptor (Camp Cretaceous)

★★★★★ 4.8 / 5 · 716 reviews · ~$20

For a standard-size Mattel Jurassic World velociraptor action figure at a fair price, this is the pick — a 7-inch articulated raptor with a single-strike attack feature, from the Camp Cretaceous line. At 4.8 stars across 716 reviews and MSRP $19.50, it’s the full-size Mattel velociraptor that the gouged Blue figures should be. One thing to know: it’s a Camp Cretaceous raptor (the animated spin-off), not Blue specifically.

  • Standard 7″ articulated movie-style figure
  • 716 reviews at 4.8 stars; fair MSRP
  • Only full-size Mattel JW raptor at honest price
  • Camp Cretaceous raptor, not Blue
4
Papo feathered velociraptor hand painted collector dinosaur figure
Best premium collector

Papo Feathered Velociraptor

★★★★★ 4.8 / 5 · 185 reviews · ~$24

The premium collector pick — Papo’s hand-painted feathered velociraptor in a dynamic hunting pose, with the kind of detail collectors expect. At 4.8 stars (185 reviews — fewer because Papo’s velociraptor is a niche, but the rating is excellent), it’s the closest thing to a museum-quality model velociraptor in stock; PNSO doesn’t make a velociraptor and CollectA isn’t reliably available. The pick for a cabinet of curiosities.

  • Hand-painted Papo detail
  • Scientifically feathered; dynamic hunting pose
  • 4.8-star rating
  • Niche product (185 reviews)
5
Large remote control walking velociraptor blue dinosaur toy lights sounds
Best remote control

Large Walking Remote Control Velociraptor (Lights & Sounds)

★★★★½ 4.5 / 5 · 839 reviews · ~$43

For the kid who wants Blue to walk across the floor, this large rc velociraptor is the best of its kind — a walking remote control velociraptor in Blue’s colour, with lights and roaring sounds, a rechargeable battery and an intuitive controller. At 4.5 stars across 839 reviews, it’s the only solid RC velociraptor in stock. Generic brand finish (don’t expect Mattel polish), but huge wow factor for play.

  • Walks, roars, lights up
  • Rechargeable; intuitive controller for kids
  • 839 reviews at 4.5 stars
  • Generic brand; build is average
6
Gemini and Genius baby velociraptor budget dinosaur toy figure
Best budget

Gemini&Genius Baby Velociraptor

★★★★½ 4.6 / 5 · 250 reviews · ~$12

The best cheap Velociraptor — a baby raptor figure with a movable jaw and hands at 4.6 stars for twelve dollars. Brilliant cake-topper, party favour or low-cost addition to a herd. Sculpting isn’t as fine as Schleich or Papo, but the price is hard to beat and it’s another solid velociraptor action figure to round out a dinosaur collection.

  • Under $12; movable jaw + hands
  • 250 reviews at 4.6 stars
  • Great cake-topper / party favour
  • Generic brand; less fine sculpt

How to choose a Velociraptor toy

Blue, standard Mattel JW or scientifically accurate?

Decide what your raptor fan actually wants. If it’s specifically Blue from Jurassic World, the only fair-priced option right now is Mattel’s chibi-styled Bite Club Blue. If it’s a full-size Mattel Jurassic World velociraptor action figure (Blue-style but not Blue), the Fierce Force Camp Cretaceous is the realistic-action pick. And if accuracy matters — museum, classroom, paleo fan — the feathered Schleich or Papo are the right call.

Were Velociraptors really like the movies?

Honest answer: not really. Real velociraptors were turkey-sized, walked on two legs and were covered in feathers — far more bird than scaly lizard. The big “raptors” in Jurassic Park are actually closer in size to Deinonychus. So if scientific accuracy matters, the Schleich and Papo (both feathered) are the toys to go for; the Mattel JW figures are the movie version, which is fine if that’s what you want.

Figure, RC, puppet or animatronic?

Most velociraptor toys are figures — that’s where the choix is widest. For movement, the Large RC walks and roars like a real raptor and is currently the only well-rated option. Sadly, the famous Folkmanis velociraptor puppet is out of stock and there’s no true animatronic raptor on the market right now; we’ll add one if a good product appears.

Budget & value

The price spread is reasonable: around twelve dollars at the budget end (Gemini&Genius), fifteen to twenty for the realistic figures and the Mattel Fierce Force, twenty-four for the Papo collector, and forty-three for the RC. The chibi Bite Club Blue is the cheapest official Mattel pick at around ten dollars — just remember it’s the chibi style, not the realistic action figure.

FAQ

What’s the best Velociraptor toy?
For most people, the Schleich Velociraptor — a feathered, articulated figure with over three thousand reviews at 4.6 stars, for around fifteen dollars. If you specifically want Blue from Jurassic World, the Mattel Bite Club Blue is the only one at a fair price right now (a chibi style, not a realistic action figure).
Where’s the standard Mattel Jurassic World Blue figure?
Honestly, the standard Mattel Blue (Large Basic, Primal Pal, Hammond Collection, Ferocious Pack, Jurassic World Rebirth velociraptor releases) is currently gouged by resellers at $60-90, which is two to four times its original MSRP of about $20-25. We don’t recommend buying a jurassic world velociraptor blue toy at those prices. The Mattel Bite Club Blue (chibi style) is the only Blue at MSRP, and the Fierce Force Camp Cretaceous is the closest standard-size Mattel raptor at a fair price.
Is there a Jurassic World Velociraptor 4-pack (Blue, Charlie, Delta, Echo)?
Not at a fair price. The original 2015 Mattel Jurassic World Velociraptor toys 4-pack is on Amazon but at around $350 as a collector item. We don’t recommend that markup. If Mattel re-issues a raptor squad pack at normal MSRP, we’ll add it. For now, the single Bite Club Blue and the Fierce Force are the honest picks.
Is there a remote control Velociraptor?
Yes — the Large Walking Remote Control Velociraptor in Blue’s colour, with lights and sounds, is the best rc velociraptor in stock. Generic brand, but 4.5 stars across more than 800 reviews and the only solid radio-controlled raptor on the market.
Is there a Velociraptor puppet or animatronic?
Not at the moment. The famous Folkmanis velociraptor puppet is out of stock and there’s no genuine animatronic velociraptor available — products marketed as “animatronic” are all really RC. The Large RC is the closest to a moving raptor right now.
Did Velociraptors really have feathers?
Yes — modern paleontology is clear that real velociraptors were covered in feathers, far closer to birds than to the scaly raptors in the films. That’s why the feathered Schleich and Papo are the scientifically accurate picks, while the Mattel figures stick to the movie version.

How we choose

We don’t run a toy lab. Our rankings come from studying each toy’s specs and aggregating what verified buyers consistently report across Amazon and trusted retailers — looking for patterns in realism, durability, play value and value for money, and flagging the trade-offs honestly. We only feature toys genuinely in stock at a fair price; when a category is heavily gouged by resellers (as the Mattel Blue currently is), we tell you plainly rather than send you to it. We earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you, and that never influences a ranking.
